Personal Training

Do you have a goal that you want to achieve?  Do you prefer to exercise at home or outside but are unsure of what to do?  Do you want to stay away from a busy gym? Personal Training will help you with your motivation, accountability and work towards achieving your goals.  I can help you with helping to improve your health, weight loss, training for sport events, general health and fitness or special health requirements.

As of 2020 I am happy to offer virtual Personal Training sessions at a booked time via any of the video calling methods.  This gives you flexibility and an additional bonus of being able to bring me anywhere you go (business trips, to the beach or on holiday) so you don't have to miss out on your Personal Training sessions.

My passion is empowering people to get active and changing their lifestyles so they can live a longer healthier life. I believe everybody should exercise, and the older you get the more important it is to exercise.  The first step is contacting me, then I will book a consultation with you. I use the consultation process to discover your goals, find out about your nutritional needs, discus any injuries  or ailments if you have any and assess your fitness and strength levels so I can create a plan specifically for you.   

Couple Personal Training

Get together with a partner or a friend and train alongside them to help with support and motivation. These sessions are still created for each individual persons needs. This is a cost-effective way of personal training as the cost gets split in half.

Home Fitness Plans

Want a little bit of accountability, or do you feel like if you had a fitness plan that suited you, you would find it be easier to work out on your own at home?  

For a smaller cost I can create you a home plan with an optional weight and measurement option to keep you accountability and so we can assess your progress.  This can be for strength and cardio.

If you are a self-motivated person this option would suit you for a one off cost, or to go alongside your one-on one Personal Training sessions.  

Group Fitness Classes

Julie’s Fitcamp is an upbeat class including a mix of strength and cardio plus boxing and interval training. The strength training will help with not only weight loss but also keeping your body able to achieve normal daily tasks easier. Strength training also supports the joints from past injuries.  

These classes are held regularly throughout the week.  Spaces are limited and booking is essential for these classes. The Fitcamp times available are:

Tuesday 6:15am, Tuesday 6:15pm, Wednesday 6:15pm, Friday 6:15am

Buggyfit Classes

A fun way of exercising safely and socially with your bump, babies and/or children!

Our baby friendly Postnatal classes are specifically created to help recover from the pregnancy, with the focus on strengthening the core muscles to create better posture, muscle toning and more.  These classes involve cardio, strength and stretching in a safe way for your changing body. 

Nutrition Support and Guidance

For most people, weight loss is difficult. This is because 80% of weight loss is due to the choices we make around food and drinks. While exercise is essential in a weight loss programme, it is the eating that we must learn to control.  Have you got your nutrition right? Whether it is for a sports event, weight loss or general nutrition I can help you by looking at your current eating and analyze how to benefit your health using a holistic approach; changing your lifestyle, rather than dieting. Remember, It’s what you eat most of the time that gets you results, not what you eat sometimes.

Running Group

There is no one giant step that does it, it’s a lot of little steps.  And having the support and motivation of a running group you can reach your goal.  The Julie M Fitness running group is a great way to get those kilometers under your belt, learn a lot and meet other fellow runners.  

There are regular running events that Julie trains people up for throughout the year. She has taken running groups to events including the Waiheke Island Half Marathon, 10km and 5km event, the Hamilton Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and Kids Commando 2km Challenge Event, Rotorua Night Trail Run plus many more throughout the year.
